Data You Send Us
Search boxes on this site pass the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party search provider that supplies sponsored results. We do not keep a separate copy of those searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to respond.
Automatic Site Data
Our hosting systems collect ordinary server-log data, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use that information in aggregate to operate the site, fix errors, and understand basic page traffic. Cookies or similar tools may be used for simple analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Data
We use visitor data to keep the site available, answer messages, diagnose technical problems, and improve the pages. We do not sell a list of our visitors. We do not create individual visitor profiles for resale.
Links to Other Websites
Daly City People Search links to city, county, state, court, library, and third-party search resources. Those outside sites have their own privacy rules. Information you submit to a county recorder portal, court index, voter lookup, vital-record office, library database, or sponsored-search provider is governed by that site's policy, not this one.
Who May Receive Data
Hosting, analytics, advertising, and technical-service providers may process the automatic data described above for us. We may also disclose information if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data except as needed to operate the site.
How We Protect Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Because the site has no visitor accounts, there is no account password or profile for us to maintain.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent personal information to us, contact us and we will delete what we can locate.
Your Data Rights
California privacy law may give residents rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and avoid discrimination for exercising those rights. The California Consumer Privacy Act and related data-broker rules are separate from the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 et seq. Because we hold little visitor data, most requests involve checking contact messages and server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Daly City, San Mateo County, California agencies, courts, or other custodians are outside our control.
Policy Updates
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear here. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
